Time Signature and Beat Pattern:
3/4, does not use off beats (starts from 1st beat) - (Time signatures explained)

Fundamental Chord Structure:
Basic chords: D, A, G, Bm, F#m, (E)

Original scale: D major

Chords transposed a scale of C: C, G, F, Am, Em, (D) (2 semitone below this scale)- (Transposition explained)

Roman numeral form notation: I, V, IV, vi, iii, (II) - (Roman numeral notation explained)

Strum Pattern:
Option 1: Strumming - |DU'U'|

Option 2: Play single down-strokes at the beginning of each meter

Option 43: Play broken chords or arpeggios.

(Explanation - 3 beats per meter; the stroke that is marked with a (') is played and muted). (More on how to read strum patterns)

Between the meter chord changes are frequent but not problematic due to the slow tempo.

Playings Tips and Song Notes:
The chords are basic and melodious; but the bar chords make this song a bit more challenging for beginners (and great practce at the same time). Almost as a signature, there is also an E major chord thrown in as an outlier to provide tension. And as is quite common in many Rabindrasangeet pieces - this too is very much based on the framework of a Waltz. Try singing along or playing along with the track to best guess the strum and chord positions.

Difficulty: Beginner-intermediate level
