Time Signature and Beat Pattern:
4/4, does not use off beats (starts from 1st beat) - (Time signatures explained)

Fundamental Chord Structure:
Basic chord progression: |C#-F#-G#-G#|F#-G#-C#-C#| and similar

Original scale: C# major

Chords transposed a scale of C: |C-F-G-G|F-G-C-C| and similar (1 semitone below this scale)- (Transposition explained)

Roman numeral form notation: |I-IV-V-V|IV-V-I-I| and similar (actually the basic structure is 16-bar blues with bridges beaking the mold) - (Roman numeral notation explained)

Strum Pattern:
Option 1: Fast strumming - |DU'(DD)U'|(DD)U'(DD)U'|

Option 2: Play broken chords avoiding the lower (5th and 6th) strings. Lower strings are optional, but do not break the 4/4 pattern to get them in.

(Explanation - 4 beats per meter; the stroke that is marked with a (') is played and muted; the beats in brackets are divided into subunits of equal duration as noted). (More on how to read strum patterns)

Between the meter chord changes do not occur.

Playings Tips and Song Notes:
The chords are simple in progression but transposed to the C# scale making them all bar chords raising the difficulty for beginners. Try singing along or playing along with the track to best guess the strum and chord positions.

Difficulty: Beginner to intermediate level
