Strum Pattern:
Time Signature: 4/4

The song has a varying strum pattern. It changes to a few single down-strokes at the end of the verses - strike a few times and let them ring.

Option 1: Fast strumming - |(DDU)(D_U)(DDU)(DUDU)| or |(D)(D)(DDU)(DUDU)|
(Explanation - 4 beats per meter; the stroke that is marked with a (') is played and muted; the beats in brackets are divided into subunits of equal duration as noted).

Option 2: Play broken chords / arpeggios.
Between the meter chord changes occur throughout - don't break the strum pattern while switching chords.

Playings Tips and Song Notes:
The chords are simple and beginner level yet melodious. Play it on an electric guitar with slight distortion; it doesn't sound half bad on a acoustic either. Try singing along or playing along with the track to best guess the strum and chord positions.

This is one of LRB's signature and best songs. The G'n'R influence on this song is evident in its style of guitar solos and the bass section, in particular. Its a great ballad.
